Amplifying Great Work Already Underway

While our society will need to become much more deeply introspective than it is today in order to heal and thrive, there are many people making meaningful progress shifting systems and structures of power as well. The most promising efforts are those that are community-driven and technology-enabled.

This section provides an overview of some of this work in K-12 education, because if we can provide equitable opportunities for our children, and fully mobilize their talents, we have a real chance of creating a world we would want for future generations.

All of the initiatives below could use additional financial and political support, as well as the passion of people who want to do the day-to-day work. If you are interested in getting involved, please reach out. And if you have concrete ideas that have made meaningful progress to further transform K-12, we would love to hear them.

Vision In a Nutshell

While each of these initiatives is tremendously impactful individually, collectively they support and reinforce one another. The vision of education put forward is one where community is engaged to support the mental health of students, industry is engaged to support work-based learning opportunities, students help co-create their learning experiences pursuing and nurturing their curiosity, and the accountability system used to evaluate education agencies and students reflects these priorities.

The devil is in the details. As an implementation support organization, Gluona is embedded in many of these details. Allow us to help you connect the dots to bring resources to your community.
